Somalia infiltrated by Islamist rebels again

Somalia remains one of the chaotic nations in the world where peace seems to hide its face away from the African nation. With the Islamist rebels gaining control of the country, I wonder how the crisis is being handled by its government. When will the riots and killings end?

What the news on Somalia shows to the viewers is that protection even to its government officials has gone out of bounds. In this case, what security awaits the ordinary citizens who are unarmed to defend themselves?

I am having an impression that the Transitional Federal Government of Somalia no longer has means to combat the rising number of rebels overpowering the peace keepers and protectors of the innocent.

Somalia’s fate is becoming dimmer as no visible solution is being recommended to end the seemingly ceaseless wars, sufferings and tensions in the region. I hope international support is not at the losing end of surrendering to the long fight against terrorism. As support is badly needed, Somalia should have it as soon as possible to plan out the strategies in extinguishing the rebel leaders and stop the rampant recruitment activities among the insurgents.

There is still hope if there is a continuous willingness to fight terrorism and the vision to promote peace in Somalia. Its government should take all efforts in protecting its citizens. Somalia can be freed from violence and fear if the people will help each other combat terrorism plaguing the country. Children and women should be protected from all forms of abuses.
