In the Eyes of a Child Lie the Thirst for Learning
Parents serve as their children’s role models. What kids see from their parents at a very young age registers to them as something pleasing and worth remembering. A family filled with love and support will have a stronghold of creating better individuals as children reach the age of wisdom. Otherwise, a community brought from a foundation grounded with fear and intimidation will result in an individual who has a wounded past.
I am not saying that a “bad” family always brings to society a notorious person. But certainly what the family teaches a child has a strong impact of what he will become in the future. Several factors also must be put into consideration. Media, peer pressure and educational background may influence a child toward his way of thinking and weighing things out.
In the eyes of every child spring the goodness of life. So let us not waste the best things that we could give a child. Instead of nurturing them with hatred and abuse, each child must feel the real love of a family. It is only then he will learn how to love other people. Whether we have been raised by a poor or rich family, values of doing good to others and to our neighbors can not be traded with societal status. To do good is a normal thing and not dictated by money or material things.
In the eyes of a child, discipline is taught. But if the family never understands how to move in a civilized way, expect the child to have glimpse of barbarism and ill manners. You and me and the rest of the world are commanded to be responsible in teaching the future leaders of the world to do good and be able to show to them what it is to be a caring individual. In their eyes, we are their inspiration. So don’t teach them the nasty things of mistreating others. Instead, show them the real essence of love and what it is to be a good human being.
